Family Movie Night

Even though this was a short week, so to speak (because Monday was a holiday in honor of Martin Luther King’s birthday), it seemed like a long week to me. It culminated this evening with a showing of the movie, “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” at the school.  The turnout was pretty good.  By the time the movie started there was very little floor space left!

This event was sponsored by the Parent Teach Association (PTA), which has its hands especially full trying to keep the school operating this year in the face of so many funding cutbacks. There was no entrance fee to see the movie, but PTA volunteers were selling popcorn, drinks and school shirts. I think this year’s PTA has been doing a bang up job!

Tomorrow morning H has baseball tryouts, and then in the afternoon the boy’s mother and sisters are coming over for a visit.  (K's baseball tryouts are the following weekend.)
