There was a hearing yesterday to review the case of one of my foster kids. This is normal and happens every six months. I didn’t expect the child to be returned to his parents, but I did expect his parents to be granted unsupervised visitation. They are presently only allowed to visit with the child while supervised by me or a social worker. But instead of granting unsupervised visitation, the court restricted visitation even more, now requiring that visitation occur only at a social services office!
I don’t understand why the court decided to take this step backward in reunification. Now I am looking into what, if anything, I can do to find out more and perhaps have this decision re-evaluated.
